Imperial flooring services

LVP & Laminate Flooring

Two plank-flooring choices, one important starting point: understanding the product and the surface beneath it. We install LVP and laminate with attention to layout, transitions, and the finished edges.

Antonio confirms measurements, evaluates the existing flooring, checks floor levels and surface condition, and reviews preparation and removal needs before estimating.

A considered choice

Is this right for your project?

A practical option for homeowners comparing wood-look floors in living spaces or replacing worn flooring. Luxury vinyl plank uses a vinyl-based construction; laminate typically has a wood-fiber core and a decorative wear surface. Texture, wear ratings, water resistance, and installation requirements vary by product.

Scope & options to discuss

  • 01

Compare your chosen LVP or laminate product with the needs of each room and its manufacturer instructions.

  • 02

Assess existing flooring, removal needs, subfloor flatness, and any moisture concerns before deciding what can stay.

  • 03

Plan plank direction, door clearances, expansion spaces, and transitions into adjacent floors.

  • 04

Discuss removal, reuse, or installation of baseboards as a complementary part of the flooring scope.

Your materials or ours

Imperial can help you choose materials, review samples, and source your selection, or install flooring you purchase yourself. Material suitability and project requirements are reviewed before installation.

The estimate defines the agreed scope. Materials, samples, removal, disposal, leveling, baseboards, and repairs are not automatically included free of charge. Unexpected conditions and scope changes are discussed with you.

Before installation or repair

Clear small belongings and discuss who moves furniture or removes the existing floor. Product acclimation, substrate testing, and leveling needs should be established before installation. A floating floor needs the prescribed expansion space; trim must not pin it in place.

What affects project cost?

Square footage is only part of the picture. Product selection, floor removal, leveling, irregular room layouts, transition pieces, and baseboard work all affect the estimate. Material supply and disposal should be identified separately in the scope.

Your questions

About lvp & laminate flooring

Is every LVP or laminate floor waterproof?

No. Water resistance and permitted uses depend on the specific product and its installation conditions. Even a water-resistant surface does not resolve moisture beneath the flooring. Review the product specifications for the intended room.

Can new planks go over my existing flooring?

Sometimes, but only after checking the existing surface, height, flatness, stability, and the selected product requirements. Removal or preparation may be necessary.

Do I need new baseboards?

Not always. Existing baseboards may be reusable, or new baseboards and appropriate edge trim can be included. Discuss the appearance and any height changes during the estimate.

Are your estimates free?

Yes. Antonio offers free property visits and on-site estimates. This offer covers the visit and estimate, not materials or installation work.

Do you visit the property before quoting?

Antonio confirms measurements, evaluates the existing flooring, checks floor levels and surface condition, and reviews preparation and removal needs before estimating.

Can you help me choose and purchase materials?

Yes. Imperial can help with material choices, reviewing samples, and sourcing materials when requested. Suitability and costs are reviewed as part of the agreed scope.

Can you install flooring I purchased myself?

Yes. Imperial can install customer-purchased flooring after reviewing material suitability and project requirements. Discuss your selection before installation.

Can new flooring be installed over my existing floor?

Sometimes. Antonio evaluates the existing surface, floor levels, condition, preparation needs, and the selected product requirements before recommending an overlay or removal. Existing flooring cannot always stay.

What happens if you find unexpected conditions?

Antonio discusses the conditions, preparation needs, and any scope changes with you. Extra work and repairs are not automatically free or included; the agreed scope should identify them.

Do you currently work on residential or commercial projects?

Imperial currently focuses on residential projects across the Treasure Coast. Commercial flooring and commercial polished concrete are future expansion plans, not current offers.
