Porcelain, Ceramic & Marble Tile Installation

A tile floor is a layout decision as much as a material choice. We install ceramic, porcelain and marble flooring with the substrate, grout joints, and transitions considered together.

Antonio confirms measurements, evaluates the existing flooring, checks floor levels and surface condition, and reviews preparation and removal needs before estimating.

A considered choice

Is this right for your project?

For customers considering a tile floor in a kitchen, bathroom, entry, or another interior space where the selected tile is rated for the intended use. Porcelain generally absorbs less water than ceramic, but slip resistance, finish, size, and installation requirements still need individual review.

Scope & options to discuss

  • 01

Discuss ceramic, porcelain or marble, tile size, floor-use ratings, pattern, and layout starting points.

  • 02

Plan cuts at walls, doorways, and fixed fixtures; review grout color and joint width.

  • 03

Assess substrate suitability, flatness, existing cracks, and required preparation.

  • 04

Coordinate transitions to adjoining floors and any complementary baseboard installation.

Your materials or ours

Imperial can help you choose materials, review samples, and source your selection, or install flooring you purchase yourself. Material suitability and project requirements are reviewed before installation.

The estimate defines the agreed scope. Materials, samples, removal, disposal, leveling, baseboards, and repairs are not automatically included free of charge. Unexpected conditions and scope changes are discussed with you.

Before installation or repair

Discuss removal of the current floor and access to the room. Larger tiles may require more demanding flatness preparation. Existing movement or cracks need evaluation rather than being hidden under new tile. The flooring scope does not include plumbing, structural work, shower waterproofing, or full bathroom remodeling.

What affects project cost?

Tile size, pattern complexity, removal, substrate preparation, material choices, grout, edge details, and the number of cuts affect cost. Confirm which materials are supplied and whether disposal and trim are included.

Your questions

About porcelain, ceramic & marble tile installation

Should I choose ceramic or porcelain?

Choose based on the intended floor use, appearance, slip resistance, and product specifications. Porcelain’s lower water absorption is one difference, but either material must be suitable for the space and installed on an appropriate substrate.

Can you use a tile pattern I have selected?

Bring the pattern and tile dimensions to the estimate discussion. Layout feasibility, cuts, joint spacing, and the product’s recommended offset need review before the pattern is agreed.

Does floor tile installation include shower work?

No shower waterproofing, plumbing, structural work, or full bathroom remodeling is represented by this flooring service. Those scopes would require separate confirmation.

Are your estimates free?

Yes. Antonio offers free property visits and on-site estimates. This offer covers the visit and estimate, not materials or installation work.

Do you visit the property before quoting?

Antonio confirms measurements, evaluates the existing flooring, checks floor levels and surface condition, and reviews preparation and removal needs before estimating.

Can you help me choose and purchase materials?

Yes. Imperial can help with material choices, reviewing samples, and sourcing materials when requested. Suitability and costs are reviewed as part of the agreed scope.

Can you install flooring I purchased myself?

Yes. Imperial can install customer-purchased flooring after reviewing material suitability and project requirements. Discuss your selection before installation.

Can new flooring be installed over my existing floor?

Sometimes. Antonio evaluates the existing surface, floor levels, condition, preparation needs, and the selected product requirements before recommending an overlay or removal. Existing flooring cannot always stay.

What happens if you find unexpected conditions?

Antonio discusses the conditions, preparation needs, and any scope changes with you. Extra work and repairs are not automatically free or included; the agreed scope should identify them.

Do you currently work on residential or commercial projects?

Imperial currently focuses on residential projects across the Treasure Coast. Commercial flooring and commercial polished concrete are future expansion plans, not current offers.
