Garage Epoxy Coatings

A finished garage floor starts with the concrete, not just the color. We evaluate the surface and discuss preparation and coating options before agreeing on the system and schedule.

Antonio confirms measurements, evaluates the existing flooring, checks floor levels and surface condition, and reviews preparation and removal needs before estimating.

A considered choice

Is this right for your project?

For homeowners looking to refresh a garage’s concrete surface with an epoxy coating. Suitability depends on concrete condition, moisture, contamination, existing coatings, and how the garage will be used—not appearance alone.

Scope & options to discuss

  • 01

Evaluate concrete, visible damage, moisture concerns, and any existing coating.

  • 02

Discuss required surface preparation and which defects can be addressed within the coating scope.

  • 03

Review available colors, decorative finishes, surface texture, and maintenance expectations.

  • 04

Agree on the selected system, access restrictions, and separate return-to-use times for walking, storage, and vehicles.

Your materials or ours

Imperial can help you choose materials, review samples, and source your selection, or install flooring you purchase yourself. Material suitability and project requirements are reviewed before installation.

The estimate defines the agreed scope. Materials, samples, removal, disposal, leveling, baseboards, and repairs are not automatically included free of charge. Unexpected conditions and scope changes are discussed with you.

Before installation or repair

The garage needs to be cleared before surface preparation. Tell us about oil spills, sealers, old coatings, or recurring damp areas. Preparation and any repair strategy depend on those findings. Plan temporary parking and storage around the selected system’s curing requirements.

What affects project cost?

Concrete condition, floor area, coating removal, preparation, repair needs, and the selected finish affect the estimate. Curing and return-to-use time depend on the coating system and conditions; no universal one-day completion or vehicle-use promise applies.

Your questions

About garage epoxy coatings

When can I park in the garage again?

The selected coating system and site conditions determine vehicle return-to-use time. Confirm the curing schedule before installation and follow the system’s instructions rather than assuming the floor is ready when it looks dry.

Can a coating cover cracked or stained concrete?

The concrete must be evaluated first. Cracks, contamination, or moisture can require preparation or repair and may limit suitability. A coating alone does not resolve underlying movement or moisture.

Can I choose the finish?

Discuss the available color, decorative-finish, and texture options during the estimate. The final selection should reflect both your preferred appearance and the garage’s intended use.

Are your estimates free?

Yes. Antonio offers free property visits and on-site estimates. This offer covers the visit and estimate, not materials or installation work.

Do you visit the property before quoting?

Antonio confirms measurements, evaluates the existing flooring, checks floor levels and surface condition, and reviews preparation and removal needs before estimating.

Can you help me choose and purchase materials?

Yes. Imperial can help with material choices, reviewing samples, and sourcing materials when requested. Suitability and costs are reviewed as part of the agreed scope.

Can you install flooring I purchased myself?

Yes. Imperial can install customer-purchased flooring after reviewing material suitability and project requirements. Discuss your selection before installation.

Can new flooring be installed over my existing floor?

Sometimes. Antonio evaluates the existing surface, floor levels, condition, preparation needs, and the selected product requirements before recommending an overlay or removal. Existing flooring cannot always stay.

What happens if you find unexpected conditions?

Antonio discusses the conditions, preparation needs, and any scope changes with you. Extra work and repairs are not automatically free or included; the agreed scope should identify them.

Do you currently work on residential or commercial projects?

Imperial currently focuses on residential projects across the Treasure Coast. Commercial flooring and commercial polished concrete are future expansion plans, not current offers.
