Flooring Repairs & Restoration

Not every flooring problem calls for a complete replacement. Describe the damage so we can assess whether a targeted repair or restoration approach is feasible.

Antonio confirms measurements, evaluates the existing flooring, checks floor levels and surface condition, and reviews preparation and removal needs before estimating.

A considered choice

Is this right for your project?

For customers with damaged planks, cracked or loose floor tiles, worn areas, or an issue at a transition. Repair feasibility depends on the flooring material, the extent of damage, the underlying conditions, and whether matching materials are available.

Scope & options to discuss

  • 01

Identify the flooring type, affected area, and when the problem first appeared.

  • 02

Discuss spare planks or tiles, product details, and the availability of a compatible match.

  • 03

Review whether damage is isolated or could indicate moisture, movement, or a substrate issue.

  • 04

Compare the limitations of a targeted repair with broader replacement when a reliable repair is not practical.

Your materials or ours

Imperial can help you choose materials, review samples, and source your selection, or install flooring you purchase yourself. Material suitability and project requirements are reviewed before installation.

The estimate defines the agreed scope. Materials, samples, removal, disposal, leveling, baseboards, and repairs are not automatically included free of charge. Unexpected conditions and scope changes are discussed with you.

Before installation or repair

Keep any spare material and product labels, and describe whether the damage is spreading or associated with dampness. Avoid concealing the affected area before assessment. Include the affected rooms and flooring type when you contact Antonio.

What affects project cost?

Access to the affected area, removal method, material availability, matching constraints, and any underlying preparation affect cost. A small visible defect can involve more work if adjoining flooring must be disturbed. A seamless match cannot be guaranteed without evaluating the materials.

Your questions

About flooring repairs & restoration

Can you guarantee an invisible repair?

No. Color, wear, production batches, and discontinued materials can make a match difficult. The likely appearance and practical limits need assessment before a repair is agreed.

What should I include in my request?

Describe the material, damage, approximate size of the affected area, when it appeared, and whether you have spare matching pieces. Mention moisture or movement if you have noticed either.

Does restoration mean every flooring type can be refinished?

No. Restoration options depend on the material and remaining usable surface. Some products cannot be sanded or refinished, and some damage is better addressed by replacement.

Are your estimates free?

Yes. Antonio offers free property visits and on-site estimates. This offer covers the visit and estimate, not materials or installation work.

Do you visit the property before quoting?

Antonio confirms measurements, evaluates the existing flooring, checks floor levels and surface condition, and reviews preparation and removal needs before estimating.

Can you help me choose and purchase materials?

Yes. Imperial can help with material choices, reviewing samples, and sourcing materials when requested. Suitability and costs are reviewed as part of the agreed scope.

Can you install flooring I purchased myself?

Yes. Imperial can install customer-purchased flooring after reviewing material suitability and project requirements. Discuss your selection before installation.

Can new flooring be installed over my existing floor?

Sometimes. Antonio evaluates the existing surface, floor levels, condition, preparation needs, and the selected product requirements before recommending an overlay or removal. Existing flooring cannot always stay.

What happens if you find unexpected conditions?

Antonio discusses the conditions, preparation needs, and any scope changes with you. Extra work and repairs are not automatically free or included; the agreed scope should identify them.

Do you currently work on residential or commercial projects?

Imperial currently focuses on residential projects across the Treasure Coast. Commercial flooring and commercial polished concrete are future expansion plans, not current offers.
